This website is operated by Naavika Adventures (“we”, “us”, “our”), a boat tour and coastal adventure operator based in Gokarna, Karnataka. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

02Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to share with us, plus limited technical data from your visit:

• Booking details — your name, WhatsApp number, travel date, number of people, preferred experience, preferred time and any message you add in our booking form.
• Messages — anything you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
• Usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and interactions (such as tapping a WhatsApp or Book Now button), collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive information such as health records, bank passwords or government ID numbers through this website.

03How the booking form works

Our booking form does not store your details on our website. When you tap “Check Availability”, your details are placed into a pre-filled WhatsApp message on your own device. The information is only shared with us when you choose to send that message. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.

04How we use your information

• To check availability, confirm and manage your booking.
• To contact you about your trip, including changes due to weather or sea conditions.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To keep our guests safe and meet legal, safety or regulatory requirements.
• To understand how visitors use our website and to measure and improve our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information.

06Photos & videos

We may take photos or videos during trips to share on our website and social media. If you would prefer not to appear, please tell our crew before or during the trip, or contact us afterwards and we will remove content featuring you where reasonably possible.

07How long we keep information

We keep booking conversations and details only as long as needed to provide the service, handle any refund or query, and meet legal or accounting obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise them.

08Sharing your information

We only share your information with service providers who help us run our business (such as WhatsApp, Meta and Google as described above), or where required by law, a government authority, or to protect the safety of our guests and crew.

09Your rights

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

10Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Children

Our website is not directed at children. Bookings for minors must be made by a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
